Annapolis Wing Crawl: A Celebration of the Best Wings in Annapolis
You would think since I have had 20 years to prepare for this day I would have put together some good shit in this email but, no, just typing whatever comes to mind with only 8 days til the Crawl.
To think back 20 years ago that we would still be gathering to do this-- 20 years--Impressive--maybe--alarming--yes.
OK--let's get to it...day starts bright and early at 3pm so get a good night's sleep. $40 cash or Venmo to Peter-Hilgartner (last 4 digits 6723) for a full day of eating, laughing, drinking,
Stop 1--settling into a new normal as the first stop is Stan and Joe's -- get to this good ole pub up on West Street on time so you don't miss out on it's mouth watering wings, tasty drinks and of course the schwag-- --come out of the gates hard or don't come at all--where are you Naptown BrassBand? We got to get movin' on...
Stop 2-Armadillo's-throwing a curveball at you to see who is paying attention. Sliding the Dillo's in as second stop so you guys don't get tired of the same ole same ole--but speaking of same ole, same ole we will be upstairs, private bar, fantastic wings, lots of brew ha's ha's and then off the 3rd stop.
Stop 3-McGroovey's--like an old shoe this place keeps getting more and more comfortable--sometimes too much where I forget to pay the tab and just go on home but no worries Beansie will track me down. Wings up top, bar down low, that's how we go.
Stop 4-Market House--or the House that Lopes built--got off to a good start in its first year in 2024 so it got moved up to the Head Honcho role as "The Closer" this is where we get the last of the wings, DJ gets us grooving and we all try to hail Uber's at the same time.
